Treatments

Where do the treatments take place?

I have my own cosy treatment room in my home in Liphook. For those that can’t travel I also offer mobile treatments as all of my equipment is fully portable.

How long will the treatment last?

Your first reflexology treatment will last for about 1 hour 15 mins, (1 hour for children’s sessions) as I will need to go through a short medical questionnaire with you and we can discuss what to expect from the treatment. All subsequent treatments will last for 1 hour (45 minutes for children). This allows time for an initial update on any medical conditions and a discussion on my findings at the end.

What should I expect during the treatment?

When you arrive, I will make sure you are comfortable in my specialist reflexology chair and will provide soft, cosy blankets to keep you warm throughout the treatment.

You will have to remove your shoes and socks before the treatment begins and I will wrap your feet in super soft bamboo muslins to keep them cosy while I’m working on the other foot. During the treatment I will massage your feet and work on specific pressure points which correspond to areas of the body that may reveal an imbalance. First and foremost, reflexology helps enormously to alleviate the stresses of modern life and will allow you an hour of peace and complete relaxation. I have worked on many clients who normally have very ticklish feet, so don’t worry, I can adjust the pressure to suit you and make sure you don’t feel any discomfort. I will use a wax or cream on your feet to help with the massage. I will play gentle, relaxing music and encourage you to completely relax and take the weight off your feet!

What will I feel during the treatment?

The treatments affect everyone differently.  Most of my clients come for an hour of complete peace. We have an initial chat about their well-being and then they lie back, close their eyes and either just relax or go to sleep. This is a wonderful way to experience deep relaxation during the session. Other clients find that the treatment makes them feel energised and they become quite chatty and animated. Some clients describe the treatments as an emotional release. When I work on the pressure points on your feet you may feel that some areas are more sensitive than others. This will show where you might have an imbalance in your body and I can concentrate on that area to help bring your body and mind back to equilibrium over a course of treatments.  Have a look at my testimonials page to see what my clients say.

What should I expect after the treatment?

The benefits of your treatment shouldn’t stop once you put your shoes back on. I will give you some recommendations to help prolong the benefits of the treatment.  Most clients say they ‘sleep like a log’ after a treatment so it is completely normal to feel quite tired for a couple of days. Try to listen to your body and if you have any symptoms you are unsure about just give me a call. Have a look at my testimonials page to see how others have benefited from a reflexology treatment.

How much is a treatment and how many will I need?

Treatment prices are all listed on my Prices Page. There are prices for ‘Big Feet’ and ‘Little Feet’ and a great offer for clients who come for 6 sessions within 12 months.

There is no set rule as to how many treatments you need, I treat some clients once a fortnight, some once a month and some just come whenever they feel they need some ‘me’ time. I will discuss your personal treatment needs with you in my initial consultation.
